IT’S MAY FAYRE TIME!
Well it’s that May Fayre time again and just like previous years we have LOADS of fun for you, your family and friends to enjoy. In a busy action packed afternoon you’ll see...
...swooping eagle owls, falcons and hawks from Huxleys Birds of Prey Centre as they are displayed by their keepers. (just to add more interest, at a previous display, one flew into the ladies toilet and stayed there)
... karate experts from the Lone Pine Ryu School of Fighting arts. Not only will they put on an energetic arena display, they will be around to give personal tuition during the afternoon at their stall. Not to be missed - be very afraid Leaders!
... the Karen Clarke Theatre School dancing displays are simply brilliant. We are lucky enough to be able to see the dancing teams again – not for one but two great arena displays.
...try pony rides this year. The ponies are from The Shey Copse Riding Centre in Woking and they and their qualified instructors will give you a taster in this very popular hobby. We are expecting queues for this!
... celebrate with our Guides – it’s the Girlguiding Centenary this year, 100 years old YEH!
... stacks of stalls of fun everywhere - Crockery getting smashed, real ale getting tasted, burgers being cooked, plants getting sold, bacon being eaten. Best of all in a great list of great stalls, those refreshments at the marquee being drunk!
...going underground – in our specially constructed potholing system.
...noisy competitions all afternoon – Guides, Scouts, Cubs and Beavers will again compete for cups, prizes and shields – noisily!
...and there’s plenty more – like the hourly raffle, a red racing boat, a colourful mini, free fitness passes, programme prizes. Yes plenty more!
