37th Horsell Scouts and Guides Grand May Fayre

We are very excited to announce that The Horsell Scouts and Guides Grand May Fayre will take place on the May Bank Holiday, 4th May 2015, 12 noon to 4.30pm, on the Wheatsheaf Recreation Ground, Chobham Road, Woking.

Every year in every way we’re getting better and better and 2015 will be no exception!

Planning is going well for this years premier event in Woking’s social calendar with exciting new attractions for the 2015 Fayre including the main arena event of Clown Bluey and his team of “skilled” fire fighters and their purpose built fire engine. Clown Bluey will entertain children of all ages with two very funny arena shows, and spend the rest of the afternoon generating smiles from the crowd around the wider event.  The arena fun continues with a May Fayre regular, one of our most popular acts – the Summerscales performers, and their spectacular dance routines to set everyone’s foot tapping.  So how to round off a packed agenda other than with Maypole and Morris Dancing  from our Brownies and of course the truly noisy frantic competitions of the Beavers, Cubs, Guides and Scouts as they battle for  the honour of holding the May Fayre trophies for the coming year.

Looking outside the arena, new this year will be a top of the range Climbing Tower staffed by professional climbers.  Come along and have a go at climbing and abseiling on this great wall – beat the queues and get there early!

In addition to the usual book, flower and craft stalls for your delectation, there will also be the opportunity for those with pets to try a dog agility course courtesy of the Sutton Green Dog Training Academy, who provide dog obedience courses locally.

Too much excitement in one day ? If that could ever be the case! – why not take some time out and listen to the amazing music organised and participated in by the acclaimed music duo, Whitney & Stilwell. They will expertly blend local singers, school bands, acoustic guitarists and more, to provide the soundtrack to your afternoon, whilst you enjoy the local Thurston’s Brewery beer  from the Real Ale tent or a delicious burger from one of the BBQs.

How could you not attend ? Put the date in your diary now and share in the fun !

Horsell Scouts and Guides would not be able to arrange the May Fayre without the very generous support from our 2015 sponsors, whom we wish to thank publically – Global travel Management Ltd, Seymours Estate Agents in Horsell, Trident Honda Garage, Ottershaw and WADP Ltd.
