Horsell Scouts and Guides long established and much respected 2010 Grand May Fayre is here!
Now in its 31st year the May Fayre is a major event in the entertainment calendar of Woking. This year will certainly be no exception with stacks of entertainment to suit all family members and all ages.
Our major arena event, The Solent Dog Display Team, comes very highly recommended with past appearances in major shows all over the south. Visit www.sddtc.freeserve.co.uk for more!
Just to keep all our older folks happy we will be welcoming Hotrods on Display, a club of customised car owners keen to show off their big bright and beautiful motors. You never know they might just fire them up for us - now that could be noisy!
Music lovers will remember The Cellar Dwellers, a jazz band from last year. Well, they were so good we had to ask them back again! However though, new visitors to our Grand May Fayre this year is the concert band from Fullbrook School in New Haw. They don't often perform in public so we are honoured that they will play for us at our Fayre.
What else? Well there's the pot holing, a giant inflatable, smash the crockery and face painting. Oh and there's some great refreshments and BBQ's. New real ales to try, in fact so many stalls to try and see you have really just have got to see for yourselves.
The Guides and Scouts too will be keen to put on their exciting arena shows. These range from the traditional May Pole dancing from our Brownies to the very noisy and heatedly contested Beavers races and Cub tug of war competitions. This is followed by the now very keenly contested Scout and Guide competitions!
Phew! Is this all going to be possibly too exciting?
