Remembrance Sunday 2008
Horsell Guides and Scouts remembered those who gave their lives for their country in armed conflict.
Remembrance Sunday Horsell Guides and Scouts remembered those who gave their lives for their country inmarmed conflict.
There are very few events in the year when Horsell Guides and Scouts join together in an act of worship. On Sunday 9th November, on a cold sunny morning, they wore their poppies with pride and paraded with others at Horsell's War Memorial to remember the dead in two World Wars and other more recent armed conflicts.
From Rainbows and Beaver Scouts to Guides and Explorer Scouts all the age ranges of the groups were present in this act of remembrance. The parading of all the sections flags together with the largest number of scouts and guides attending this thought provoking service for many years made this an impressive and colourful act of thanks.
