Ben's Silver Award
Ben Colston was presented with his Chief Scout Silver Award by ADC Cub Scouts, Linda Plunkett at a Brownse Cub Pack meeting recently.
To achieve the award cubs are required to pass three challenge badges and achieve a good standard in a final project. Ben gained his Outdoor Challenge by being a regular participant in District Explorer camps at Birchmere where he learnt skills such as bivi making, fire lighting, pioneering as well as two busy cub camp weekends in the summer.
This was his favourite part as he "really likes camping" His Creative Challenge was gained by taking part in the Gang Show and for his Fitness Challenge he showed great improvement at cross country running.
Ben's final project was to attend tennis classes and to spend a lot of his summer playing with family and friends.
Well done Ben!
